Fun at Chris's Place...

Hmm.

I just had a small jam session at my pal Chris Leow's place, with me on electric guitar, and Chris on bass. I showed him my recently-learnt 'Rain Song', my own 'Searchaway, Spring In Christchurch', and also the recently-learnt 'She Will Be Loved'.

Chris and i first jammed when we were both in Secondary three, and together with another friend of ours, we played a very slow song for teachers' day in 2003. After that day, we didn't jam until early this year, before I hooked up Alvin.

The sessions was fun ,we tried our hands at 'Smells Like Teen Spirit', 'I Believe In A Thing Called Love', 'She Will Be Loved', 'Original Prankster' and I also let him listen to Led Zep stuff. He was particularly interested in the violin bow I brought, and he even tried a hand at it on his bass, eventually creating a sound not too unlike that of a lightsabre.

Surya (another friend of ours) called up, and Chris kept taking digs at me, so I responded by prodding Chris incessantly with his Aikido-training samurai sword. I eventually allowed Chris to take the sword away from me.

Ah.. at least today was not another day at home trying to find my way around in the murky waters of song-writing (I made a new song using the tunings featured in 'The Rain Song'), and managed to hook up with an old pal.

Sigh... feeling accomplished, Chris has agreed to come to my place on this thursday, and I intend to bring him in when Alvin and Char come to my place sometime next week. I looking forward to the date being settled soon...

Cheers,

Crawldaddy
