Fine.....

Hmm.

I got up today, had an unusual breakfast combo for myself: oreo cereal with cornflakes (milk included, yes) and coffee. When my mum spot-checked me on my breakfast contents, I actually had to defend my choice of breakfast.

Apparently, it is her philosophy that bread and butter for breakfast is the only way to go. Especially since porridge is too time-consuming. I presume she'll be pressurising me to eat more bread tomorrow as I had 'skipped' bread today.

I helped my dad settle the basics of his exhibition posters, the layout, choice of pictures etc etc. He wants to do an exhibition, and he has 'commissioned' me to be his cubicle designer.

Not to be unflattered, but I'm the cheapest source availible right?

I called Alvin for help on using Photoshop for my dad's posters etc, and he told me he will call me back, but with bad news.

I momentarily froze. Images (more like scenarios) of me, chris and char jamming without Alvin (supposedly absent due to robotics commitments) filled my head, and I then said to myself:

Well, at least he told you before-hand, and didn't wait till noon on wednesday to tell you he isn't coming....

Then he called me:

Al: 'Hey, I got soem bad news..'

C: 'Oh, ok, you got robotics right?'

Al: 'No. I fractured my left pinky finger'

Whoa. I didn't expect that. Already I was prepared for him to say:

'I gotta go for robotics dude....'

And of course, I'll be cursing and swearing under my breath. And after that I'll be marching to Alvin's place to shake the crap outta him.

Al: 'Yeah.. fractured it while playing soccer on saturday....'

I mean, I sure as pancakes don't mind him fracturing his finger, so long as he's not going to be tied down by his lazy robotics juniors. Now, that (being tied down by robotics) would make me shake him hard.

So I asked him how he was, how was the finger... the works. I was concerned cuz he wouldn't be able to touch his banjo for like two months at least.... Man, Murphy's Law strikes once again.

I went to school to pay off half of my 88-buck library fine, and so that's half gone.... managed to field-test my new discman as well during the journey to and fro from school. It managed to survive, so very happy actually with my new discman.

I just hope that's the end of the 'Murphy's Law' spell for me... the chinese say bad things happen in threes: my guitar cable frying, my new discman being discovered and Alvin's finger already count as three bad things.

I hope things go as planned. Or i'll be going nuts man....

Cheers,

Crawldaddy
