What a waste, but it's the weekend anyway

Hmm.

How to begin? I suppose I could start with how I used have a limp after a hard day's work from 7am to 5pm back in the day after my O levels, and I was working like a mad dog 5 days a week. Then I suppose I can fast forward to BMT and how we would do all sorts of strenuous exercises.

One fine day it just happened. Whenever I sat down cross-legged on the floor and tried to get up, my leg would have this excruciating pain and stiffness at the knee joint. Needless to say that this was not an easy thng to live with. What's worse is that it didn't stop after 2 or 3 days. I stayed with me for 2 weeks, and only now is it barely noticable.

Due to my injury, I had to go "out of training", that is to say one cannot continue with the normal BMT regimentation until and unless my injury has healed or is not bugging me too much. X-rays have shown no clue as to what is wrong with my leg joint, and a physical examination by the medical officer has denied any tell-tale signs apart from a supposition by the MO that it could be a cartilage area being pinched and torn in my knee.

So now I've been posted to 30 SCE (Singapore Combat Engineers) as a storeman. Ironically my physical condition has not allowed me to be able to carry heavy loads, and I've been excused lower limb for a month until the 3rd of September. The place doesn't look too inviting, but I suppose that it would grow onto me after a while just like the bunks in Tekong.

I wonder what would happen if I had to downgrade, or worse still if they refused to down-grade my PES status. Either way, my wish is to audition for the MDC (Music & Drama Company), in hopes that maybe I can get a place singing or maybe just playing guitar.

Ok, forget all that now.

Had a nice evening with Skinny Pole on Friday night. Despite the fact that I was somewhat ill with a bout of flue (?) and slight fever, I suppose I made a huge blunder taking a bus to Orchard, what with the congestion on a FRIDAY evening... I ended up being half-an-hour late (sorry mada!).

The jam yesterday evening went alright. Steph and her Nigel managed to kip down to watch us jam, with a mistaken impression that we were having a performance :P The good news is that now Ark Analogy has 8 original songs and one more new one (which is pretty reggae-ish) on the way.

If you guys wish to have a listen to us, you're most welcome to contact me on where we jam and the time. We always appreciate an audience no matter what the size or race or gender.

Cheers,

Crawldaddy
