And so Tekong looms

Hmm.

So officially on the 14th of June, I'll be going away to my resort island, where hopefully I will lose weight, gain a good tan, beef up on my muscles and become the quintessential alpha male alot of people want to become.

Yeah right.

If I don't die along the way I suppose I'll be much tougher than what I have become so far. And I suppose I can't complain that I'm pretty much being trained for my own well-being and getting paid (meagre though it may be, but somewhat better off than previous generations of NS men) at the same time for my "sacrifice", "time", "duty to the nation" and all that shizer ("shit" in german).

Anyway, the more immediate concern I have for myself is whether my fingers will literally freeze up and be unable to play guitar. After all, it was 5 days into my Europe trip when I realised that my hands had pretty much lost their ability to do a proper blues scale, much less a simple finger vibrato.

I just hope that all my hard work and honing of one's guitar techniques and nuances doesn't go to waste.

I know it's probably going to sound gay.. but I'm actually starting to love my Ipod mini. And yes.. I know it's pink. But honestly due to my colour-blindness I had thought it looked kind of purplish :P

And so I've bought a pink Ipod mini

Hmm.

For one thing you guys know that I'm not rich in any way. I don't go on shopping sprees, I don't buy my friends big presents, the things I dispense the most are my incorrigible sense of humour, loud music and rock on attitude.

That said, I'm not much of a "let's-go-and-paint-the-town-red" guy, and I don't have too many friends to boast of.

So why... you must be asking did I decide to purchase a pink Ipod mini? After all, the Ipod mini has been phased out of production since the end of 2005 and the current incarnations of the Ipod family are good-looking, just as user-friendly and now somewhat more reliable.

Well, the reasons are:

1. I've been DYING to get an Ipod since the little things appeared on our shores and entered the deepest parts of our inner conscience which control lust, greed and desire.

2. I paid $150 for the full 4GB package. Is that value or WHAT?

3. The buy I bought it off is an old friend and I suppose I can trust old friends.

4. I'm just tired of carrying around a wallet of CDs... and I realised that it looks kind of retarted to change CDs in mrt.

5. I suppose I can always cover up the pink colour with something.

Yeah. Rocking out to AC/DC on my Ipod mini now, so take it easy and chill ;)

Back!

Hmm.

Ah, so I'm back from Europ already... took me 3 days to get off my arse (even though I'm sitting down) to blog about it. So. About Europe.

Places in order of days:

Paris (Day 1-3) Visited: Lourve, Arc De Triomphe, La Defense, Eiffel Tower, Saint Sulpice, Notre Dame.

Bordeaux (Day 4) Visited: the whole place, really.

Montpellier / Sete (Day 5-6) Visited: the whole of Sete.

La Bastide (Day 7-9) Grand Uncle's place. Loads of vintage guitars (yummy).

Lyon (Day 10) Can't seem to recall at the moment.

Bern / Lucern (Day 11-12) Visited too many places and thingsto recount.

Munster / Frankfurt / Heidelburg(Day 13-14) Visited most of Munster, dropped off brother. Visited most of Frankfurt. Went to "the castle" in Heidelburg. Lots of pretty jap tourist ladies :P

Pics will be coming soon.
